- Shaktimaan
Who cares about Western entertainment when Indian shows like Shaktimaan were incredibly luring and appealing. Let’s accept the fact that avengers are nothing in front of Shaktiman, and he has been the real boss. Shaktimaan was the first-ever superhero we Indians admired and loved. Yes, he was the coolest dude ever. For a 90’s kid, a hero with a red costume would be shaktimaan and not spiderman for sure.

- Shaka Laka Boom Boom
Just like how we desired to have a best friend like Son Pari, we were a little selfish for wanting the magical pencil used in Shaka Laka Boom Boom as well. Certain characters in the show played a subtle role as jealous beings. Sanju was actually a lucky guy. Let’s accept this; we’ve all been jealous of Sanju and his magical pencil. We all constantly desired to have a pencil that brought us everything in a minute.

- Shhh… Koi Hai
Right from the haunted residences, and the awful looking characters to the evil spirits, this show was a blend of all. It was always a rollercoaster ride to watch every thrilling episode with the three kickass ghostbusters in this show. The end of every episode left us with suspense, and the wait for the next episode was always worth it. This show was a blessing to all of us.

- Shararat
Shararat has undoubtedly been one of the shows from the girls watchlist. The three butterflies from this show were blessed with some extraordinary superpowers. Sring Bling Sarvaling… yes, if you got this right, you had a fantastic childhood. Let’s not forget that Karanvir Bohra was the man we all had a crush on.

- Sarabhai VS. Sarabhai
This show was a perfect usual yet unique drama with endless comedy. The show revolved around the lives of Sarabhai’s. The family was a complete pack of explosives. One character being sophisticated, while the other was being all humorous, there’s so much we miss about this show.

- Great Indian Laughter Challenge
The Great Indian Laughter Challenge was a power pack of absolute laughter and comedy. Great Indian Laughter Challenge was the only stand-up comedy show back then. With their exceptional entertainment, this show managed to run five long seasons. While they initially started this show back in 2005, their final season was launched in 2017. - Dill Mill Gayye
Forget falling for the actors; we all indeed fell in love with the entire show. Its title track was enough to grab all of our attention and to leave everything aside to sit in front of the television. This show was a perfect blend of love and reality. However, the problematic scenes at the hospital did give us little panic attacks. Only because the doctors were this charming, we all wanted to fall sick. We all fell for the doctors. Didn’t we?

- Dekh Bhai Dekh
Depicting a story of three different generations, their differences, varied perspective, endless drama, failing in business, and family trouble was just so typical yet so fresh. This show from Doordarshan was a massive hit with its concept. I’m sure we’ve all sat with our entire family to watch this serial every single day.

- Chandrakanta
How can we get over this beauty? The princess Chandrakanta was definitely from heaven, just so adoring and brilliant. Beauty with brains from the ’90s? It’s Chandrakanta, definitely. This show wasn’t just for kids as adults enjoyed it too.

- Vikram Betaal
This show was just an extraordinary one. Right for watching a strong bond of friendship to fighting all the creepy characters, we will always cherish this program. Every episode of Vikram Betaal brought massive excitement. Vikram Betaal had a perfect essence of horror that we all deserved in our childhood, and the entertainment level was always top-notch.

- Office Office
If you remember this show, you indeed feel the concept of this serial repeating in today’s world. Ever thought this comedy-drama will depict the actual reality of the present scenario? Back then, Mussadilal had to go through problems and face a lot of tantrums to get his government job done as the corruption was at the peak all thanks to the inefficient employees. Isn’t it still the same?

- Mogli
This show was the best one out of all. When Mogli got released in the Hindi version, it received a mesmerizing craze. The title track which was penned by Gulzar was a heartthrob. “Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai, Pata Chal Hai” and that’s how the show commenced. Hum paanch was one of the most comical shows ever. This show was based on a husband who had a poky wife with five daughters. Oh, we all pitied Anand who had to deal with all the unwanted pranks his daughters caused. I’m sure we always wondered how he managed to speak to his dead wife through a frame, and how he managed his second wife’s acceptance of the pranks thrown by his daughters

- Miley Jab Hum Tum
This one was a massive hit amongst the youth. Every episode of this show has a blend of love, drama, and romance. This show amazingly portrayed how teens fall in love during the college days and most importantly, how these relationships last for years and forever.
